Avanti Feeds Ltd. in Gujarat invites applications for Shift In-Charge/Jr. Engineer/Assistant Engineer/Production Supervisor to manage production processes in the shift and focus on cost, quality, productivity, and safety.

The role reports to the Production/ Maintenance chain and works within Production & Maintenanace department. The candidate will ensure process quality, maintenance, and adherence to SOPs, coordinate with warehouse and QC, and drive on-time production while upholding safety

Responsibilities

• Ensure production process as per quality specs and standards for finished product.
• General and scheduled maintenance of plant and machinery; manage equipment job cards; attend minor and major breakdowns.
• Ensure rated productivity; produce material as planned to meet zero delays in availability.
• Interdepartmental coordination with Warehouse, Quality Control, Electrical during production.
• Monitor fabrication per drawings; implement plant modifications; ensure safe working conditions with safety committee.
• Achieve production targets shift-wise and month-wise by following SOPs.
• Optimize resource use and reduce wastage of manpower, materials, machinery running, and energy.
• Maintain total cleanliness of the plant; manage housekeeping; label usable/unusable materials.
• Ensure availability of mechanical/general spares for day-to-day operations.
• Prepare reports and maintain production/maintenance records (ISO, BAP).
• Ensure health and safety rules are followed during shifts.
• Handover to reliever with status and pending items in proper method.
• Problem solving and root-cause analysis to enable quick effective action.

Department : Production& Maintenance

Reporting to Manager/ Senior Manager/ Production Engineer/ Senior Engineer

Role Management of production processes done during the shift and focus on all related issues to production cost, quality, productivity, safety

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ensure the production process as per the quality specifications and standards, like size, color, stability or any other remarks of the finished product.
• General and scheduled Maintenance of plant& Machinery, and ensure the job cards for the equipments for timely maintenance, attending minor and major breakdowns, resolving the problems.
• Ensure rated productivity of the plant in the respective shifts (planned output vs actual output), Producing required material as planned to ensure zero delays in product availability
• Interdepartmental coordination with Warehouse, Quality Control, Electrical during the production process
• Close monitoring of fabrication as per drawings, modifications in the plant and ensure the safe working conditions on consultation with safety committee
• Achieve production targets shift wise, month wise by following Standard Operating Procedures in all aspects
• Proper utilization of resources and reduce the wastages like manpower, material (RM, PM, FG), machinery running and electricity etc.
• Responsible for total cleanliness of entire plant at all times, arresting leakages. Maintaining housekeeping standards, Demarcation of the usable or unusable materials at designated places with proper labeling.
• Ensure the availability of mechanical/ General spares, those required for day-to-day operations/ plant running in stores for ready replacement
• Preparation of all type of reports accurately and submitting to HOD on time, responsible to keep update all the production and maintenance records pertaining to ISO and BAP etc.
• To ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered during the shift within the company in line with the companies Health and Safety policy
• Shift handover to the reliever in proper methods, explain the production status/ Process and other pending
• Problem solving and troubling shooting, to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems
