Job summary

Jumbo Consultants seeks an experienced Head of Production (AGM/DGM) to lead end-to-end manufacturing in a high-mix, high-volume automotive environment. The role includes ownership of production, quality, delivery, productivity, cost and safety with unionized industrial relations.

You will drive OEE, FPY, Lean, SMED, TPM and continuous improvement, ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA and OEM requirements, and partner with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, SCM and Engineering to sustain

Qualifications

• Experience leading production in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, VDA and OEM requirements.
• Proven leadership of unionized workforce and industrial relations.
• Track record in achieving OEE and productivity improvements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

• Lead daily production operations to achieve volume, mix, quality and delivery targets.
• Manage high SKU complexity, changeovers, capacity utilization, line balancing.
• Lead a unionized workforce, including industrial relations and wage discussions.

• Promote safety, cost reduction and digital shopfloor improvements.

The role will be responsible for production, quality, delivery, productivity, cost, safety and operational excellence, with strong ownership of unionized workforce and industrial relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production operations to achieve volume, mix, quality and delivery targets.
• Manage high SKU complexity, changeovers, capacity utilization, line balancing and manpower deployment.
• Lead a large unionized workforce, including industrial relations, wage discussions, grievance handling and statutory compliance.
• Drive OEE, FPY, productivity, SMED, TPM, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, VDA and OEM requirements.
• Drive zero-defect culture, traceability, poka-yoke, 8D, RCA and layered process audits.
• Partner with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, SCM and Engineering for production and delivery performance.
• Support APQP, PPAP, NPI and SOP readiness.
• Promote safety, cost reduction, manpower optimization and digital shopfloor improvements.
• Lead and develop production managers, supervisors and frontline teams.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, SMED, TPM, IATF, VDA, APQP and PPAP.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
