Job summary

Talent Corner Hr Services seeks a Production Planning & Engineering Support professional in Maharashtra to coordinate daily production schedules and drive efficiency across shop-floor workflows. You will study drawings, optimize processes, and ensure quality while supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will train operators, monitor performance, and contribute to reducing defects through Lean practices and systematic reporting. Willingness to work in shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing, and TQM.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production schedules to meet targets for output, quality, cost and delivery.
• Identify opportunities for productivity improvements and implement Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke and other Lean initiatives.
• Study drawings and process requirements; develop and improve production methods and shop-floor workflows.
• Ensure products are manufactured per drawings and specifications; support quality control to reduce defects and rework.
• Prepare production and downtime reports; analyze performance, rejection trends and efficiency data.
• Train operators on processes, safety practices and productivity improvements; stay updated with manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:-

Production Planning & Execution:-

• Support daily production planning and ensure timely execution of manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor production activities to achieve output, quality, cost, and delivery targets..

Process Improvement & Productivity:-

• Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for productivity improvement.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, Lean Manufacturing, and TQM.

Engineering & Technical Support:-

• Study engineering and fabrication drawings, process requirements, and customer specifications.
• Develop and improve production methods, workflows, and shop-floor processes.

Quality & Safety:-

• Ensure products are manufactured as per approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Support implementation of quality control measures to reduce defects, rework, and rejection.

Reporting & Analysis:-

• Prepare and maintain production reports, productivity reports, downtime reports, and improvement project records.
• Analyze production performance,rejection trends, and efficiency data.

Training & Development:-

• Support training of operators and shop-floor personnel on process requirements, safety practices, and productivity improvements.
• Keep updated with new manufacturing technologies, engineering practices, and process improvement methodologies.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
• Ready to work additional hours during production emergencies or peak workloads

Requirements & Skills:-

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication, sheet metal operations, and steel products.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
