Job summary

ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. in Yamunanagar, Haryana, seeks an experienced Production Engineer to coordinate fabrication activities for process equipment.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with ASME codes and quality standards while managing welding, machining, and assembly on the shop floor. The ideal candidate holds a B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience in fabrication of pressure vessels and reactors, and strong capability in reading drawings

Qualifications

• B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institute.
• 6+ years of production fabrication experience.
• Experience with process equipment fabrication desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control production activities for process equipment fabrication.
• Ensure fabrication activities comply with ASME codes and applicable industry standards.
• Manage welding, fabrication, machining, assembly, and testing operations.
• Monitor shop-floor activities, production schedules, and delivery milestones.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Prepare production reports, manufacturing records, and quality documentation.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Planning, Engineering, and other departments to ensure timely execution.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control production activities for process equipment fabrication.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong experience in fabrication of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, coke drums, EO reactors, and urea reactors.
• Knowledge of welding processes: SMAW, GTAW, SAW, GMAW, ESW, FCAW, groove welding, and weld overlay.
• Knowledge of ASME Section II, Section VIII, Section IX, and ASME B31.3.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and technical specifications.
• Strong production planning, shop-floor management, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards, safety practices, and process improvement.
