Job summary

VRV Asia Pacific seeks a seasoned Production Manager to oversee the production area, plan monthly targets, and ensure adherence to drawings, QAP, and welding procedures. You will coordinate with procurement, quality, design, and planning to optimize workflows and reduce rework while maintaining a safe, compliant workshop environment.

The candidate will apply value engineering, lead weekly production meetings, and support ISO certification efforts, driving continuous improvement and cost savings

Qualifications

• BE / B. Tech (Mech.) with 5 to 10 years in Cryogenic / Pressure Vessels / Oil & Gas / Boilers / LNG / Heat Exchanger or related capital goods manufacturing.
• Should have good knowledge in welding processes (TIG, MIG & SAW), testing procedures & ASME codes

Responsibilities

• Manage the Production Area, responsible for planning, coordination and control of all activities related to the production processes, productivity and maintenance.
• Plan the production to meet monthly production target and project schedule.
• Ensure production man-hours are properly utilized and job cards are properly maintained.
• Cross verify material indent requisition against engineering drawings.
• Utilize manpower efficiently for maximum productivity.
• Ensure production as per Drawings, QAP and welding Procedures per WPS.
• Participate in weekly production meetings and assist Senior Management.
• Comply with Safety, statutory regulations, Quality Management Systems & IMS procedures.
• Pursue cost saving via value analysis / value engineering.
• Create and monitor indicators for LEAN and Six Sigma improvements.
• Reduce rework and rejections through process/tools.
• Coordinate with procurement, QC/QA, Design, Planning to ensure smooth workflow.
• Promote other production-related activities per management guidance.
• Provide service & technical support to customers.
• Maintain safe working environment & good housekeeping in the workshop.
• Define preventive and corrective actions with quality reps and remove non-conformities.
• Support development of new products, analyze capacity and related aspects.
• Assist ISO Certification maintenance and spread quality culture.

Preferred candidate profile

Role & responsibilities

Manage the Production Area, responsible for planning, coordination and control of all activities related to the production processes, productivity and maintenance.

Plan the production in order to execute the monthly production target and Project Schedule.

Ensure the production man-hours are properly utilized and job cards are properly maintained.

Cross verification of material indent requisition in comparison to engineering drawing.

Effective utilization of man power with maximum efficiency.

Ensure the Production activities are as per Drawings, QAP and welding Procedures as per WPS.

Participate in weekly production meetings assist Senior Management in the production activities.

Work on cost saving through value analysis / value engineering

To create and follow all necessary indicators to evaluate the manufacturing process for continuous improvement practice such as LEAN management and SIX Sigma.

Reduce the rework and rejection by applying the various tools & process

To coordinate with all other supporting departments such as procurement, quality control & assurance, Design, and Planning to ensure smooth production work flow.

Participate and promote other related professional activities pertinent to production according to the guidance and directives by the management.

Provide service & technical support to the customer

Ensure & create safe working environment & good housekeeping in the workshop.

Define preventive and corrective actions along with the quality representative in the processes inherent to the Quality Assurance System, and removal of non-conformities.

Participate in the development of new products, conducting pertinent studies, analyzing the production capacity and other relevant.

Secure the collaboration of the Production Area in the maintenance of the Quality System and the ISO Certification, by spreading the quality culture among the professionals under the responsibility of Production Head and by encouraging the fulfilment of pre-established norms in the Quality Manual.
