Objective of the Role
To supervise and manage day-to-day shop floor production of electrical panels – HT & LT Panels, Package Substations (PSS), Busbar Systems, PCC/MCC Panels, APFC, AMF, Feeder Pillars and Meter Boards – ensuring production is completed as per drawings, quality standards, safety norms and delivery schedules.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop floor production of HT Panels, LT Panels, Busbar / Sandwich Bus Duct, Rising Mains, Package Substations (11 KV & 33 KV) and all other panel types.
- Ensure production is carried out strictly as per approved GA drawings, wiring diagrams and Bill of Material (BOM).
- Plan and allocate manpower, machines and materials on the floor to meet daily/weekly production targets.
- Coordinate with Design, Quality, Store and Dispatch teams for smooth, uninterrupted production flow.
- Conduct in-process inspection during fabrication, busbar work, wiring and assembly stages to minimize rework/rejection.
- Troubleshoot production-floor issues and coordinate with QC/Design for timely resolution of technical snags.
- Ensure safety norms, PPE compliance and housekeeping (5S) are strictly followed on the shop floor.
- Maintain daily production reports, manpower records and MIS, and report status to the Plant Head.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience strictly in Electrical Panel manufacturing – candidates from outside the panel manufacturing field will not be considered.
- Strong practical knowledge of HT & LT switchgear, Busbar systems, Package Substations (PSS) and all types of panels (MV/LT Panel, PCC, MCC, APFC, AMF, Feeder Pillars, Meter Boards).
- Ability to read and work from electrical GA drawings, SLDs and wiring diagrams.
- Prior experience supervising a production floor team in a panel manufacturing set‑up.
- Strong focus on quality, safety and on‑time delivery.
Key Deliverables
- On‑time, quality production of HT/LT Panels, Busbar and Package Substations as per schedule.
- Minimum rework / rejection through strong in‑process supervision.
- Safe, disciplined and well‑organized shop floor operations.
- Accurate and timely daily production reporting to management.
Note:
Only candidates with prior hands‑on experience in the Electrical Panel manufacturing field will be considered for this role.
