Job summary

HypTechie is seeking a Production Engineer for its auto components division in Bengaluru. The role focuses on stamping, production planning, and quality assurance with 4–6 years of relevant experience. You will ensure line start reliability, manage manpower, and uphold 3S on the shop floor.

Responsibilities include daily production records, quick breakdown recovery, quality audits, and collaboration in daily quality meetings. Diploma/BE in mechanical/chemical fields are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or BE in relevant field.
• 4–6 years of experience in stamping/production.
• Experience with stamping processes and tooling.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily KYT at shift start time.
• Coordinate timely line start and allocate manpower accordingly.
• Record daily production and NG parts.
• Address breakdowns promptly and notify if >20 minutes.
• Maintain quality audits of components hourly.
• Update Change Management Board at shift start.
• Verify in-process parameters and records.
• Audit dolly daily and implement countermeasures.
• Maintain 3S on shop floor and manage WIP parts.
• Support Team Leader responsibilities and attend daily FG/Quality meetings.

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities

• Ensure daily KYT at shift start time.
• Ensure the timely start of line and distribute spare manpower accordingly.
• Ensure overlapping within time period according to plan.
• Daily production & NG parts recording.
• Immediate action to solve breakdown & inform senior in case of breakdown more than 20 minutes.
• Quality audit of components on hourly basis.
• Change management board updating in shift start.
• Ensure SPM counter working status.
• In process parameter verification & recording.
• Audit of dolly on daily basis & take required countermeasure.
• Ensure 3S condition in shop floor.
• Arrange WIP parts timely for production.
• Ensure Team Leader responsibilities are done properly.
• Attend FG / Quality meeting on daily basis.
• Verify production plan/actual through PAB & imitate action if any gap is there.
• Capture, clearance / analysis shift wise the rework / rejection data (record in PAB).

Knowledge of Stamping Processes

• Understanding of metal forming, stamping presses, dies, and tooling.
• Familiarity with material properties and behavior during stamping.

Production Planning and Control

• Ability to develop and optimize production schedules.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Experience with just-in-time (JIT) production and inventory control.

Quality Control and Assurance

• Expertise in quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Skills in statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with inspection methods and equipment.

Authorities
