Job summary

Girikon Solutions is seeking a Product Manager to support senior leaders in shaping requirements and releasing software for our Assisted Sales and CRM within the Lead-to-Cash process. Job description

About the role:

Support senior managers and heads of product in understanding customer and colleague needs, defining requirements and building and releasing software. They will help shape product offerings for our Assisted Sales and CRM for the entire Lead to Cash process including sales motions, commercial models, contracting and invoicing. Through these product offerings, the Product Manager will ensure a high-quality, streamlined customer experience which enables our customers to buy large and small products from Informa in ways which are convenient and streamlined. The Product Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders from marketing, sales, product, delivery, engineering, data analytics and other departments as well as with our commercial and vendor partners to deliver a digital experience commensurate with our first-class events and content.

Role & responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements and shape features for our Salesforce estate, coming up with scalable, streamlined ways we can improve the efficiency and performance of our sales and finance teams, and make it easier for us to sell to our customers and manage opportunities and orders with those customers
  • Work with Product Designers and Solution Architects to define and document new platform features
  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to ensure those features are efficiently and effectively built, tested and launched through the full software development lifecycle (SLDC)
  • Set clear goals and ensure that what gets built and rolled out is both valuable and viable
  • Use performance metrics and user feedback to guide continuous improvement for the platform
  • Balance customer needs with resource constraints and roadmap timelines
  • Partner cross-functionally with internal and external engineering teams, design, marketing, sales and customer success
  • Clearly articulate tradeoffs and get buy-in from cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proactively build relationships with those outside of your immediate team resulting in horizontal influence
  • Manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way
  • Create documents, training presentations and other critical go-to-market items for internal teams to ensure successful rollout and adoption of new products and enhancements.
  • Listen to customers and business stakeholders, both internal and external, in as many ways as possible, as frequently as possible, from one-on-one interviews to surveys to prototype testing
  • Synthesize user insights to clearly and deeply understand their wants and needs. Use that understanding to steer product strategy and decisions
  • Research industry, customer, and competitor trends to inform future development
Preferred candidate profile:
  • 1-2 years experience in product management and/or 2-3 years experience in a hands-on operational role working with technology (Project Management, Program Management, Business Analysis, Product Marketing, Customer Success/Support, Quality Assurance, etc.) and collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong end-to-end understanding of the Lead-to-Cash domain
  • Solid working knowledge of Salesforce, particularly Sales Cloud, and integrations with ERP and other downstream systems and an understanding of Salesforce solutions that support Lead-to-Cash
  • Familiarity with CPQ and some exposure to Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA)
  • Comfortable giving demos and walkthroughs of Salesforce-based solutions to senior stakeholders
  • Experience using data analysis tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Power BI) to bring insights
  • Familiarity with the agile scrum delivery methodology
  • Passion for improving user and customer experience and collaborating effectively with engineering
  • Well-organized, able to multitask and prioritize. Experience managing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Able to deliver clear, concise and effective communications to both technical and business audiences
  • Emotional intelligence, building authentic and trustworthy connections with both internal and external stakeholders, to influence stakeholders without direct authority
  • Comfortable with trying things and sometimes failing
  • Resourceful, able to achieve results creatively with finite resources, get around roadblocks and stay focused on goals
