Job summary

A leading design firm in Vadodara is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in plastic product design. The ideal candidate will design and develop plastic components, create 3D models using Creo or UG NX, and ensure functionality and quality in designs. Responsibilities include performing DFM and DFA analysis, preparing Bills of Materials, and coordinating with R&D and manufacturing. Candidates should have sound knowledge of injection molding processes.

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic components ensuring functionality, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using Creo / UG NX
• Apply knowledge of injection molding and material selection for feasible designs
• Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) analysis
• Prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) accurately
• Coordinate with R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers for design development and improvements
• Work with tooling vendors for mold design, development, and troubleshooting
• Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new products
• Ensure designs meet quality standards, tolerances, and GD&T requirements
• Identify and resolve design and production-related issues

Preferred candidate profile

Mechanical Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in plastic product design, injection molding, Creo/UG NX, and DFM/DFA.
