Job summary

Tata Projects is seeking a seasoned SCM professional to lead end-to-end procurement for Industrial and Data Center projects in India. You will drive sourcing strategies, vendor prequalification, and contract negotiations to meet project schedules and budgets.

The role requires 12+ years in SCM within the EPC sector, a BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical, and willingness to travel to project sites across India. You will build strong supplier relationships and ensure ESG compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for Industrial and Data Center projects, ensuring timely availability of materials, equipment, and services.
• Develop procurement strategies and sourcing plans aligned with project schedules, budgets, and business objectives.
• Manage procurement of major packages including MEP, Electrical, HVAC, Fire Protection, ELV, Civil, Structural, and specialized Data Center systems.
• Conduct vendor identification, prequalification, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and order finalization.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, Planning, and Construction teams to ensure procurement requirements are effectively addressed.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, quality compliance, and contractual obligations to minimize project risks.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives through strategic sourcing, value engineering, and effective contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, contractual requirements, statutory regulations, and ESG standards.
• Prepare procurement dashboards, MIS reports, and market intelligence updates for management review.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, OEMs, subcontractors, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/Btech in Mechanical or Electrical with 12+ years experience in SCM function within EPC industry
• Willing to travel to project sites across India.
