Job Overview
We are seeking a Procurement professional to partner closely with our Division India cross-functional team and global/regional Procurement functions. The primary responsibility is to ensure India external purchases are strategically sourced and negotiated for the best fit of delivery and cost benefits.
Objective Of This Role: The candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, organized, objective, and successful in implementing improvement projects with minimum supervision.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage country Procurement, overall Procure to Pay (PtP) tasks and activities including direct and indirect purchase.
- Proactively drive innovative and forward-looking supply strategy to support business requirements and evaluation.
- Manage and further develop the Procurement Team in different sites across India to meet defined strategies, plans, and targets.
- Support sales tender by providing competitive supplier offers and incorporation of back-to-back requirements from customer contracts.
- Work together with Quality Management and relevant functions on supplier qualification, management, and development according to purchasing procedures.
- Participate actively in Budget and Forecast processes.
- Participate in the elaboration of Strategic Planning, aligning strategies of supply to the objectives of the business.
- Responsible for cross-function, Regional/Global Procurement Cooperation and communication to resolve problems effectively.
- Execute company Procurement Policy and Procedures to ensure P2P compliance.
- Fulfill other tasks assigned by management.
- Ready and willing for extensive traveling throughout India on short notice.
Education & Training:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Technical Know-How:
- Greater than 15 Years of work experience in a professional, complex, and international environment.
- Familiar with subcontracting and India cross-region supplier management.
- Multidisciplinary approach and have experience in one or more areas of direct/indirect procurement.
- Knowledge in developing and negotiating contractual or SLA terms with vendors.
- Knowledge in Strategic planning, TCO, Taxation, and Logistics.
- MS Office proficient, experience, and knowledge to operate SAP.

- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Attitude, firm position, communication with different organizational levels, flexibility, focus on results, agility, people management.
- Passionate, leadership, and team player with proven ability to successfully manage multi-site teams and complex multi-disciplinary projects.

- Fluent English and local language awareness.
