Job summary

Search Advisers Services Guj is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead end-to-end sourcing for sheet metal components and electrical fabrication. You will drive supplier selection, cost modeling, and risk mitigation, coordinating with engineering and quality teams to maintain supply continuity.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years in strategic sourcing within busway, switchgear, or sheet metal fabrication, with hands-on BOM costing and fabrication process knowledge.

Qualifications

• 1015 years of strategic sourcing/procurement experience in Busway, switchgear, panel building, electrical equipment, or sheet metal fabrication.
• Strong hands-on expertise in sheet metal costing, clean-sheet costing, BOM cost breakdowns, tooling, and fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of fabricated components and copper/aluminium bus-bar or conductor materials.
• Experience in end-to-end plant procurement, supplier management, and supply continuity.
• Proven experience in cost optimization, supplier localization, commercial negotiations, and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of sheet metal, fabricated parts, copper/aluminium bus bars, hardware, insulation, and packaging materials.
• Drive strategic sourcing, supplier selection, development, qualification, negotiations, and contract management.
• Perform clean-sheet/should-cost analysis, BOM-level costing, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Evaluate sheet metal processes, including laser cutting, CNC punching/bending, welding, tooling, and powder coating.
• Lead supplier localization, alternate sourcing, value engineering, and procurement risk mitigation.
• Ensure uninterrupted material supply, supplier quality, inventory efficiency, and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to improve cost, quality, and productivity.
