Job summary

PREMIDIS SARL seeks an experienced procurement professional to plan and execute sourcing of raw materials for beverages, including concentrates, flavors, sugar, packaging, and labels. You will coordinate PO creation, supplier onboarding, and timely deliveries to support uninterrupted production.

The role requires 3–5 years in beverage procurement, strong vendor negotiation, ERP experience (SAP/Oracle), and knowledge of HACCP/ISO/FSSAI standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement experience in beverage manufacturing (soft drinks, juices, bottled water, dairy beverages, or breweries).
• Strong vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials for beverages, including concentrates, flavors, sugars, packaging, and labels.
• Identify, evaluate, onboard suppliers, and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Raise and track purchase orders; ensure timely delivery and coordination with production planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and support optimal stock levels to minimize wastage.
• Conduct market research and price benchmarking for cost savings and alternate sourcing.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure materials meet food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI).
• Maintain vendor records and approved vendor list; conduct supplier audits.
• Maintain procurement records using the ERP system (POs, GRNs, contracts, pricing).
• Coordinate import/export documentation and logistics for imported raw materials where applicable.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and periodic procurement savings reporting.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and cross-functional alignment.

Role & responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement of raw materials specific to beverage manufacturing, including concentrates, flavors, sugar/sweeteners, CO, preforms/PET bottles, caps, closures, labels, cartons, and other packaging materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers; negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve the best value without compromising quality.
• Raise and track purchase orders (POs), ensure timely delivery, and coordinate closely with production planning to prevent stock-outs or line stoppages.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw and packaging materials in coordination with warehouse and stores teams; support optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
• Conduct periodic market research and price benchmarking to identify cost‑saving opportunities and alternate sourcing options.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure all procured materials meet food safety and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, or equivalent local regulations).
• Carry out vendor performance evaluations, audits, and maintain an approved vendor list.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including POs, GRNs, vendor contracts, and pricing history, using the company's ERP system.
• Coordinate import/export documentation, customs clearance, and logistics for imported raw materials, where applicable.
• Support budgeting, cost control, and reporting on procurement spend and savings on a periodic basis.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and internal audit requirements.
• Liaise with cross‑functional teams (Production, Quality, Finance, and Warehouse) to align procurement activities with overall business and production plans.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional procurement certification is an advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience, with mandatory experience in the beverage manufacturing industry (e.g., soft drinks, juices, bottled water, dairy beverages, or breweries).
• Sound knowledge of beverage industry raw materials, packaging components, and supplier landscape.
• Proven vendor negotiation, contract management, and cost optimization skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with import/export procedures and INCOTERMS is preferred, where applicable to the role.
• Understanding of food safety and quality standards relevant to beverage manufacturing (HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSAI, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight production timelines.
