Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. You will develop strategies, source materials, negotiate terms, and manage supplier performance across multiple projects.

In this role, you will collaborate with Project, Planning, Engineering, Stores, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure timely deliveries, optimize costs, and maintain strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

  • 16+ years of relevant experience in construction/infrastructure procurement.
  • Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or technical qualification.
  • Strong vendor development and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead procurement across multiple projects and meet timelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP procurement systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement for construction and infra projects.

  • Prepare POs, Work Orders, and related procurement documentation.

  • Identify new reliable suppliers and optimize supplier performance.

Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager / Procurement Lead
Job Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end procurement activities for construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for materials, equipment, services, and subcontracting requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Source construction materials such as steel, cement, MEP materials, finishing materials, civil materials, and other project-related requirements.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders, and related procurement documentation.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials as per project schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with Project, Planning, Engineering, Stores, Finance, and Commercial teams to understand project requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, material quality, and payment-related matters.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships and identify new reliable suppliers.
  • Handle rate negotiations, cost-saving initiatives, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Review material specifications, BOQs, technical requirements, and approved vendor lists.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, project requirements, and applicable quality standards.
  • Track procurement status and provide regular MIS/progress reports to management.
  • Resolve supply, quality, delivery, and commercial issues with vendors and project teams.
  • Support project teams in maintaining procurement schedules and avoiding material shortages or project delays.
  • Lead and guide the procurement team and ensure smooth execution of procurement activities across projects.
Required Skills
  • 16+ years of relevant experience in construction/infrastructure procurement.
  • Diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical or a relevant technical qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market rates.
  • Excellent vendor development and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in handling large-value procurement and multiple projects.
  • Good knowledge of Purchase Orders, Work Orders, RFQs, comparative statements, and procurement processes.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and cost-control skills.
  • Ability to manage procurement activities independently and meet project timelines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement/ERP systems.
