Job summary

Vatatree Consulting in Bengaluru seeks a Procurement Associate to manage end-to-end procurement for R&D, pilot plant and packaging activities on a 12-month contract. You will handle BOMs, supplier sourcing, and PO lifecycle.

The role requires 1–3 years in food industry procurement, strong vendor negotiations, and proficiency with Zoho and Excel. You will track stock, ensure compliance, and drive efficiency across the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience in procurement and vendor management.
• Strong documentation, record maintenance, and data management skills.
• Working knowledge of Zoho, MS Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Strong coordination and communication with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely execution.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of RM, PM and laboratory supplies for R&D, pilot plant and packaging activities.
• Source specialty, sample, small-lot and imported materials as per project requirements.
• Raise, track and close POs, ensuring timely material delivery.
• Verify incoming materials against specifications, quantity and CoAs and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory, batch traceability, storage conditions and FIFO/FEFO.
• Forecast material requirements with R&D and ensure trial readiness.
• Optimise procurement quantities to minimise wastage, expiry and excess inventory.
• Identify supply risks and develop alternate/backup suppliers for critical materials.
• Evaluate vendors on cost, quality, lead time and reliability and negotiate commercial terms.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement records and coordinate with Finance for payments.
• Track and report stock, open POs, procurement spend, savings and wastage.

• Good understanding of vendor negotiations, commercial terms, pricing, and purchase processes.
• Strong coordination, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and ensure timely execution.
