Granules India in Hyderabad is seeking a chemist with 3–6 years of API R&D experience to conduct experiments, apply literature procedures, and develop scalable processes.

You will monitor reaction progress, record data, ensure safety and 5S, and work toward higher yields using greener methods. Regular progress updates to reporting managers will be required.

Qualifikationen

• 3–6 years of API R&D experience.
• Ability to apply literature procedures and chemistry knowledge to synthesize compounds.
• Record experiments online and ensure SOP/document compliance.

• Monitor reaction progress, analyze results, characterize products and impurities.
• Learn and improve process development skills and apply them to future products.
• Record experiments online (ELN/LNB) and comply with safety SOPs.
• Record observations, yields, parameters and analytical results.
• Handle chemicals, reagents, solvents safely per SOPs.
• Maintain 5S and lab cleanliness.
• Prepare daily progress updates for reporting managers.
• Optimize processes to achieve best yield and quality with green procedures.
• Continuously update knowledge in chemistry and process development.

Role & responsibilities

• Conducting Scientific experiments according to literature procedures or based on chemistry knowledge.
• Application of chemistry knowledge to synthesize compounds and resolve process issues.
• Monitoring the reaction progress, analysing reaction results, characterize the reaction products and impurities.
• Learn and improve process development skills and knowledge continuously and apply them in subsequent products.
• Record experiments online (ELN/LNB) and according to lab safety and document compliance SOPs.
• Record observations, yields, process parameters, and analytical results.
• Handle chemicals, reagents, solvents, and equipment safely according to safety guidance and SOPs.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and implement 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize & Sustain) practices.
• Prepare/discuss daily progress updates for reporting managers.
• Optimize the process at each stage to arrive at best yield, quality by preferring Green procedures.

Continuously update knowledge in the areas of Chemistry, process development and other development related cross-functional areas.

Preferred candidate profile

3-6yrs of experience in API R&D.
