Job summary

Jubilant Biosys Limited in India seeks a scientist for API process development with hands-on experience in kilo lab and pilot plant activities to drive robust scale-up and optimization of target compounds.

You will study reaction conditions, review analytical data, search literature via SciFinder, and transfer processes from kilo lab to plant floor while coordinating multiple reactions in parallel. Documentation and data integrity are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• The candidate should have prior experience in API process development activities and good understanding of API Kilo lab /pilot plant.
• Processdevelopmentthrough Feasibility, optimization, Assurance batches validation, determination of critical process parameters and quality attributes,Process DevelopmentReport preparation, scale up and kilo lab.
• To Study and modify reaction/process conditions in accord with QBD with a goal of successfulproduction of target compounds.
• Organize work time so that several reactions are run concurrently. Use time efficiently toproduce target compounds with investigation of side reactions being normally given lowpriority.
• Conduct literature searches for specific target compounds, structures related to the target compound, or to determine specific conditions for compounds and reactions. Keep abreast of current scientific literature and discuss new findings with colleagues.
• Identify efficient and robust synthetic routes for the preparation ofNCE compounds i.e, API’s Interpretation of analytical data to drive synthetic experimental plans and the ability to utilize tools such as Scifinder, etc for scientific literature search are essential.
• Ability to handle batches varying from gm scale to kg scale.
• Recording of experiments, observations and relevant data in Laboratory books.
• Transfer the processes of APIs and the intermediates through scale-up, piloting to plant floor.
