Job summary

East India Udyog in Dadri invites an experienced process engineer to lead complete design and optimization for Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Water Reuse and Desalination projects.

You will prepare PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic/mass balances and equipment sizing, and you will drive end-to-end tendering, technical clarifications and bid submissions.

The role requires strong technical expertise and a track record in EPC bids across municipal, industrial and infrastructure sectors.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead process engineering for Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Recycle & Reuse projects.
• Develop Process Design Basis (PDB), design calculations and process narratives.
• Prepare and review:
• Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
• Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Hydraulic Calculations
• Mass Balance
• Water Balance
• Equipment sizing and selection
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate treatment technologies based on raw water characteristics, effluent standards and client requirements.
• Optimise process design for lifecycle cost, energy efficiency, chemical consumption and operational reliability.

Tendering & Proposal Management

• Lead end-to-end tendering activities for EPC projects.
• Review tender specifications, scope of work, drawings and contractual documents.
• Prepare comprehensive technical proposals ensuring complete compliance with client requirements.
• Coordinate pre-bid queries, deviations, technical clarifications and bid submissions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, technical discussions and client presentations.

Estimation & Costing

• Prepare detailed techno-commercial cost estimates for Water, Wastewater and Desalination projects.
• Develop BOQs and quantity estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations.
• Carry out technical evaluation of equipment and package vendors.
• Prepare project costing, pricing strategy and bid summaries.
• Support commercial negotiations and management approvals.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance to proposal engineers and process engineers.
• Review engineering deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
• Develop standard design templates, estimation tools and proposal documentation.
• Drive value engineering initiatives to improve competitiveness.

Preferred candidate profile

He/She shall be responsible for leading the complete process engineering, techno-commercial estimation, proposal development and tendering activities for Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Water Reuse and Desalination projects.

The role requires strong technical expertise in treatment technologies coupled with proven experience in preparing competitive and technically compliant bids for EPC projects across municipal, industrial and infrastructure sectors.
