Job summary

Clear Water Ltd. is seeking an experienced Design & Estimation Engineer to design industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment systems. You will handle process design, cost estimation, technical documentation, vendor coordination, and support from concept to commissioning.

Responsibilities include preparing PFDs/P&IDs, BOQs, and specifications, while coordinating with procurement and project teams to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Extensive design and estimation experience in water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Experience with WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF, DM Plants, and related technologies.
• Proficient in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, BOQs, specs, and process calculations.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA and instrumentation is preferred.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design & Estimation Engineer with expertise in designing industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment systems. The role involves process design, proposal engineering, cost estimation, technical documentation, vendor coordination, and supporting project execution from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare process design calculations, hydraulic calculations, and sizing of treatment units.
• Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), layouts, and engineering documents.
• Design and engineer Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Cooling Water Treatment Plants (CWTP), Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultrafiltration (UF), Softener, DM Plants, Clarifiers, Clari-Flocculators, Pressure Filters, Side Stream Filters, and associated systems.
• Analyze raw water and wastewater characteristics and recommend suitable treatment technologies.
• Prepare BOQs, equipment datasheets, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Review vendor drawings, technical submittals, and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support procurement activities, including technical bid evaluation and vendor selection.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender documentation.
• Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project execution, procurement, and commissioning teams for smooth project delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Work on process optimization and value engineering to improve plant performance and cost efficiency.
• Possess a sound understanding of pumps, blowers, membranes, filters, chemical dosing systems, instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA concepts.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 812 years of experience in the design and engineering of water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Strong experience in WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF, DM Plants, Clarifiers, Pressure Filters, and related treatment technologies.
• Hands-on experience in preparing PFDs, P&IDs, GADs, BOQs, technical specifications, and process calculations.
• Knowledge of hydraulic design, equipment selection, process optimization, and proposal engineering.
• Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems and instrumentation.
• Experience in industries such as Thermal Power, Steel, Municipal Water, Sugar, Pharma, Paper & Pulp, or other process industries.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to independently manage design, proposal, and estimation activities for multiple projects simultaneously.
