Job summary

WTT International in India seeks a senior process engineer for proposals in ETP, STP, RO and ZLD projects. You will size treatment schemes, prepare PFDs/P&IDs, define design basis and participate in technical risk management and tender processes.

You will lead technical negotiations with clients and consultants, build cost-effective techno-commercial offers, and guide the process and proposal engineering team through bid submission to order closure.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in process engineering and proposals for ETP, STP, RO and ZLD systems.
• Competent in mass balance, unit sizing and hydraulic calculations.
• Strong costing and estimation ability with a track record of profitable bids.
• Experience preparing PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications and BOQs for turnkey plants.
• Direct client and consultant-facing experience through technical negotiation to order closure.
• Track record on at least one demanding effluent stream: textile, tannery, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, distillery or municipal.
• BE/B.Tech in Chemical or Environmental Engineering; M.Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select and size the treatment scheme screening, equalisation, biological treatment (ASP, extended aeration, MBBR, SBR, MBR, UASB/anaerobic), tertiary treatment (DAF, tube/lamella settlers, filtration), RO/NF/UF, and evaporation/crystallisation for ZLD
• Prepare mass balance, hydraulic profile, process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs; define the design basis document for every project
• Set guaranteed inlet/outlet parameters, chemical consumption norms, power figures and recovery percentages, and own the technical risk in those guarantees
• Screen incoming enquiries for technical and commercial fit; recommend bid/no-bid to the COO
• Prepare equipment specifications, BOQ, costing and techno-commercial offers; maintain and correct the cost database
• Handle tender compliance for institutional, municipal and international tenders — pre-qualification, deviations, technical bid formats
• Lead technical negotiation and clarification with clients and consultants through to order finalisation
• Run formal handover of sold scope, design basis and cost sheet to Design and Projects teams
• Conduct win/loss analysis on major bids and feed findings back into pricing and scheme selection
• Build and maintain a proposal library — standard schemes, write-ups, reference lists and credentials
• Lead, develop and grow the process and proposal engineering team
• Set turnaround standards for offer submission and enforce a technical review gate before offers go out

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 15+ years in process engineering and proposals for ETP, STP, RO and ZLD systems — hands-on, not supervisory-only
• Personally competent in mass balance, unit sizing and hydraulic calculations
• Strong costing and estimation ability, with a record of offers won and delivered profitably
• Experience preparing PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications and BOQs for turnkey plants
• Direct client and consultant-facing experience through technical negotiation to order closure
• Track record on at least one demanding effluent stream — textile, tannery, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, distillery or municipal
• BE/B.Tech in Chemical or Environmental Engineering; M.Tech in Environmental/Process Engineering preferred
