Job summary

Layam is seeking an experienced production process supervisor to manage day-to-day manufacturing operations on the glass processing line. You will ensure adherence to SOPs, safety standards and QMS/EMS while driving defect prevention and yield improvement.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, problem solving (RCA/PDCA), and continuous shop-floor improvement. You will lead training for operators, manage TPM and 5S initiatives, monitor control charts, and coordinate with Production,

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of machines and glass processing.
• Knowledge of TQM, TPM, TS 16949/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
• Good knowledge of RCA, PDCA, Kaizen, 5S and process improvement tools.
• Strong manpower management and leadership skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze production problems and implement effective corrective actions.
• Strong shop-floor management and cross-functional coordination skills.

• Drive initiatives for defect prevention, process yield improvement, PPM reduction and quality improvement.
• Ensure machines operate at defined cycle time and improve machine availability and productivity.
• Conduct troubleshooting, failure analysis, RCA and PDCA-based problem solving.
• Analyze and reduce rework, rejection and process losses.
• Drive cost reduction through improvement in consumable life and localization.
• Train and develop operators on machines, systems, TPM, Kaizen, 5S and safety.
• Maintain and improve skill matrices, operator certification and Quality Circle activities.
• Ensure process parameters remain within standard limits and maintain control charts and process audit records.
• Conduct process audits, 5S audits and TPM activities.
• Manage shop-floor operations and ensure compliance with job standards and operating procedures.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings and CFT meetings with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams.
• Perform rejection/red-bin analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Execute monthly process improvement plans and continuously improve shop-floor performance.
