Job summary

Woven Talent is seeking a seasoned manufacturing engineer/ supervisor with strong expertise in 5-axis CNC machining and precision parts fabrication. The role focuses on meeting production targets, coordinating material flow, and ensuring adherence to drawings with zero deviations.

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of related experience, knowledge of heavy and precision machining, and exposure to TPM, Lean initiatives, and ISO 9001 quality practices.

Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical.
• Minimum of 15 years related experience.
• Hands-on experience operating 5-axis CNC machines.
• Knowledge of heavy and precision parts machining.
• Desirable: Defence sector exposure.
• Six Sigma Certified (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Meet production targets as per business plan.
• Coordinate work orders and material flow within manufacturing area; assign resources by demand and priorities.
• Execute the manufacturing schedule; coordinate material and communications with other departments; address maintenance and housekeeping.
• Setting jobs and machining of critical parts per drawings with zero deviations.
• Sustain and improve OEE, DPU, FPY.
• Oversee TPM; participate in Kaizens, 5S and process improvement.
• Tool crib management.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reporting and MIS.
• Control rejection and rework.
• Accurate completion of quality checklists and production paperwork.

Role & responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

• Meeting production targets as per business plan.
• Coordinate work order and material flow within manufacturing area, assign and position resources based on work order demand and priorities
• All aspects related to the execution of the manufacturing schedule including coordinating material, communication with other departments, ensuring maintenance and housekeeping issues are addressed
• Jobs setting & machining of critical parts as per drawing & documents with zero deviations.
• Sustain and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), DPU (Defects Per Unit), FPY (First Pass Yield)
• Responsible for TPM. Active participation in Kaizens, 5S and Process improvement.
• Tool crib management.
• Daily, weekly and monthly production reporting and MIS
• Control over Rejection and Rework
• Accurate completion of quality checklists and production paperwork

Preferred candidate profile

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must:

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical

Desirable

• Six Sigma Certified
• Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, Quality Systems/ TPM/ Lean/ CNC Programming/ Process documentation as per ISO 9001:2008.

Relevant EXPERIENCE:

Must:

• Minimum of 15 years related experience.
• Hands on experience to operate 5 axis CNC machines
• Knowledge of heavy & precision parts machining

Desirable:

• Working Experience in Defence Sector.
