Job summary

ideaForge is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing and production processes, enhancing efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. The role focuses on FPY improvement, process validation, and continuous improvement across operations.

You'll analyze workflows, lead pilot runs and trials, develop SOPs and control plans, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and sustained manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes and workflows.
• Monitor and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) through process optimization and defect reduction initiatives.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, waste, rework, and inefficiencies.
• Lead validation activities for new parts, materials, tooling, and production processes before mass production release.
• Coordinate pilot runs and process trials for new product introductions.
• Implement process optimization techniques to improve productivity, quality, and reduce costs.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and process flow documentation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and Design teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
• Monitor process performance using KPIs, SPC, and statistical analysis tools.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Assist in equipment selection, installation, qualification, and commissioning.
• Train operators and technicians on new processes and quality requirements.
