Job summary

Pyramid E&C seeks a skilled Process Engineer to support oil & gas facilities through process diagrams, equipment sizing and safety studies. You will perform line sizing, pump hydraulics, relief valve sizing and develop P&IDs, while coordinating simulations and risk assessments. Strong communication and mentorship are valued.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of oil, gas, refinery and petrochemical processes.
• Line sizing for liquids and vapors.
• Pump hydraulics including NPSH and head calculations.
• Relief valve sizing per API 520/521.
• Develop/update P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• Equipment sizing and datasheet preparation for key equipment.
• Prepare instrument datasheets for process instruments.
• Develop utility summaries and lists (line/equipment).
• Participate in HAZOPs and safety studies.
• Lead/guide process engineering design and optimization.
• Conduct process simulations, feasibility studies and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to process engineering design for oil and gas facilities.
• Develop and update process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Perform simulations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
• Prepare datasheets for heat exchangers, tanks, distillation columns, pumps and equipment.
• Support safety reviews and participate in HAZOPs.

Job description

Technical Skills :

• Basic knowledge of processes related to Oil & Gas./Refinery/Petrochemicals
• Line sizing including liquid and vapor line sizing.
• Pump Hydraulic calculations including NPSH & head calculations.
• Relief valve sizing based on APL STD 520/521.
• Developing /updating process flow diagrams including Heat & Mass balance calculations.
• Developing/updating P&IDs
• Equipment sizing & preparing process datasheets for Heat Exchangers, Atmospheric storage tanks, Distillation columns, Pumps, Compressors, Filters, Dryers , package units(e.g., N2 , generation plant, Fired heaters, Compressed air plants, Steam boiler, Water treatment plants)
• Preparing instrument process data sheets for pressure, flow, temperature & level instruments.
• Preparing other process drawings/calculations such as utility summary, line list, equipment list, electrical load list.
• Participating in HAZOPs and safety studies
• Lead and contribute to the development, review, and optimization of process engineering designs for oil and gas facilities, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct process simulations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure efficient and safe operations.

Software/System Skills :

• ASPEN,HYSYS,HTFS,FLARENET
• Understanding of codes and standards like API,ASME,BS, ANSI,TEMA

Special Skills :

• Good Communication in English (Written & Spoken) and Presentation Skills.
• Experience in Multi Discipline engineering environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends in process engineering for the oil and gas sector.
