The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. This role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Production, to develop and improve processes that meet both customer and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Process documentation: create and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, work instructions, and SOPs.
- Audit participation: participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Design new processes: develop new manufacturing processes to meet product specifications and production goals.
- Safety protocols: promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Feasibility studies: conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the practicality and cost‑effectiveness of new processes.
- Risk assessments: conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
- Prototype development: work with R&D to develop prototypes and pilot runs to validate new processes.
- Efficiency improvement: analyze current production processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.
- Waste reduction: implement strategies to reduce waste and improve resource utilization.
- Quality enhancement: optimize processes to enhance product quality and consistency.
- Lean manufacturing: apply Lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and eliminate non‑value‑added activities.
- Six Sigma: utilize Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce variability.
- Cross‑functional coordination: coordinate with cross‑functional teams, including R&D, Quality, and Production, to ensure project success.
- Progress monitoring: monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to stay on track.
- Reporting: prepare and present project reports and updates to management.
- Issue identification: identify process‑related issues and bottlenecks that impact production.
- Root cause analysis: conduct root cause analysis to determine the underlying causes of process issues.
- Corrective actions: implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address and resolve issues.
Educational and Experience
- Graduate in Mechatronics/Mechanical Engineering with 6‑7 years of experience or Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering with 8‑11 years of experience; relevant experience in automotive industry, assembly process with automatic machines.
Skills Required
- At least 6‑7 years of experience in automotive industry, in functions such as process engineering, methods, or manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in using process simulation software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
- Statistical analysis: strong skills in statistical analysis and familiarity with software like Minitab.
- Data analysis: ability to analyze large sets of data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Technical writing: strong technical writing skills to create clear and concise process documentation.
- Presentation skills: ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations to management.
- Precision: high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in process design and documentation.
