Job summary

Cyient DLM Private Limited is seeking an Aerospace Process Engineer to design, develop, and improve manufacturing and assembly processes for aerospace components and systems. You will work with NPD, QA, supply chain, production, and maintenance to ensure safety, quality, and cost targets throughout NPI to sustainment.

The role requires familiarity with GD&T, APQP, ECN handling, and SAP-based BOM/routing, with experience in AutoCAD/CATIA being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret drawings and customer specifications.
• Knowledge of GD&T fundamentals.
• Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP standards.
• Experience with APQP documents like balloon drawing, process flowchart, stage drawing, control plan, FMEA, work instruction.
• Experience with SAP for BOM and process routing.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and flow down to shop floor.
• Develop and control process designs for aerospace manufacturing.
• Maintain control plans, FMEA, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with NPD, QA, supply chain, production, and maintenance.
• Manage ECN, revision changes, and configuration management.
• Fixture design and customer portal handling; knowledge of QMS is an added advantage.

Job Description:

The Aerospace Process Engineer is responsible for the process design, development, control, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly processes used in the production of aerospace components, sub assemblies, and systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all processes meet stringent safety, quality, regulatory, and cost requirements characteristic of the aerospace industry.

The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams including NPD, quality assurance, supply chain, production, and maintenance, driving excellence across the product lifecycle - from concept and New Product Introduction (NPI) to full-rate production and sustainment.

1. Ability to interpret Drawing and customer specification and flowdown to shop floor
   


2. GD&T (Geometric Dimensions & Tolerance)
   


3. Familiarity with aerospace standards (AS9100, NADCAP)
   


4. Preparation of APQP documents like balloon drawing , process flowchart , stage drawing , control plan , FMEA , work instruction
   


5. Work experience in Auto CAD and CATIA ( Modeling andDrafting)
   


6. Experience in Configuration management , ECN preparation , revisionchange handling
   


7. Experience working in SAP for creation of Bill of material andprocess routing
   


8. Experience working in the Aerospace domain, machining and assembly
   


9. Ability to identify gaps or missing data in drawing
   


10. Fixture design , customer portal handling , Knowledge of QMS willbe an added advantage
