Job summary

Azad Engineering in Hyderabad, India, is seeking an experienced aerospace design engineer to design and develop components, assemblies and structural systems that meet customer and engineering requirements.

The role involves creating 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs and technical documentation, applying GD&T and standards, and performing basic design calculations to assure strength, weight, and manufacturability. Close collaboration with production and quality teams is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop aerospace components, parts, assemblies and structural systems per requirements.
• Create and modify 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings and detailed engineering drawings.
• Prepare and maintain BOMs, design specifications, drawing revisions and technical documentation.
• Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, material specs and engineering standards to designs.
• Perform design calculations and basic analysis to ensure strength, weight, functionality and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Support DFMA activities and ensure production readiness of designs.
• Review customer drawings and specifications and convert them into production-ready designs.
• Conduct design reviews, verification and validation activities.
• Identify design risks and implement engineering changes and improvements.
• Prepare ECN/ECR and maintain configuration control.
• Support prototype development, testing, inspection and First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Investigate design-related non-conformities and provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure designs comply with aerospace standards, quality requirements and procedures.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers on technical/design issues as needed.

• Work closely with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
• Support Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA/DFM/DFA) activities.
• Review customer drawings, specifications, and technical requirements and convert them into production-ready designs.
• Conduct design reviews, design verification, and validation activities.
• Identify design risks and implement appropriate engineering changes and improvements.
• Prepare Engineering Change Notices (ECN/ECR) and maintain configuration control.
• Support prototype development, testing, inspection, and First Article Inspection (FAI) activities.
• Investigate design-related non-conformities and provide root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable aerospace standards, quality requirements, and company procedures.
• Coordinate with customers and suppliers on technical/design-related issues when required.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure all designs are released according to the approved engineering proces
