Job summary

Saipem in India seeks a seasoned Process Design Engineer for a permanent role in Chennai. You will contribute to FEED and EPC activities within Oil & Gas, LNG, refinery and petrochemical projects.

The ideal candidate has 10–25 years of experience in basic engineering, PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing, using HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PipeNet, FlareNet and related tools. Chennai location preferred.

Qualifications

• 10–25 years of experience in Basic Engineering / Front End Engineering Design / EPC projects in large-scale Oil & Gas, LNG, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer (Ammonia and Urea), Utilities and Offsite Facilities.
• The applicant shall have relevant experience in Process Design & Engineering on activities such as Process Simulation, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Hydraulic calculations, Equipment sizing, Relief load estimation, Depressurization calculations, Instrument Process Data Sheets, etc. with hands on experience in software such as HYSYS, PRO II, UniSim, Pipe net, Flare net, etc.

Years of Experience: 10 to 25 years

Job Requirement:

Process Design Engineer:-

• 10 - 25 years of experience in Basic Engineering / Front End Engineering Design / EPC Projects of large-scale Oil & Gas, LNG, Refinery, Petrochemical, Fertilizer (Ammonia and Urea), Utilities and Offsite Facilities.
• The applicant shall have relevant experience in Process Design & Engineering on activities such as Process Simulation, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Hydraulic calculations, Equipment sizing, Relief load estimation, Depressurization calculations, Instrument Process Data Sheets, etc. with hands on experience in software such as HYSYS, PRO II, UniSim, Pipe net, Flare net, etc.

Preferred skill set- P&ID, Line Sizing, Vessel sizing, Pump Hydraulics, PSV calculations, Control valve design.

Preferred software experience - Aspen Plus, Hysys , Pipe net, Flare net.
