The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of global freight markets, and the ability to balance profitability with competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Rate Procurement & Negotiation
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates (FCL, LCL, Air, and Road) and local charges with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, and global network partners.

Quotation & Commercial Support
  • Process rate inquiries from the internal sales team, customer service, and international agents within tight deadlines.
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate freight quotations, ensuring all surcharges, destination fees, and customs clearance costs are clearly accounted for.
  • Provide routing options and alternative transport solutions to maximize margins and meet client transit requirements.
Market Analysis & Data Management
  • Monitor market trends, peak season surcharges (PSS), general rate increases (GRI), and carrier space availability to proactively adjust pricing strategies.
  • Maintain and update internal rate databases, tariffs, and pricing sheets to ensure the sales and operations teams have access to current pricing.
  • Analyze win/loss ratios on quotes to identify areas for pricing improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure quoted rates match vendor invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes with carriers.
Qualifications & Skills
