Qualifications

Job Overview

Looking for an experienced Press Brake & Laser Cutting Supervisor to manage daily shop-floor production activities for CNC Laser Cutting and CNC Press Brake operations, ensuring target achievement, quality standards, cycle time optimization, and zero scrap.

Role & responsibilities

Shop-floor Supervision & Planning

• Execute daily shift production plans for CNC laser cutting and press brake bending lines.
• Allocate manpower, schedule machine loading, and sequence jobs to meet delivery timelines.
• Coordinate seamless material flow from laser cutting to bending and downstream assembly/welding stages.

CNC Laser Cutting Operations

• Supervise CNC laser cutting operations, nesting layouts, and offline programming.
• Verify raw material grades, thickness, and dimensions prior to cutting.
• Monitor cutting parameters (laser power, assist gas, speed, focus) and ensure first-piece inspection and burr-free edge finish.
• Maximize sheet utilization through efficient nesting and minimize scrap.

CNC Press Brake (Bending) Operations

• Supervise CNC press brake setup, bend sequencing, and machine programming.
• Select appropriate punches, dies, and tooling based on sheet thickness and bend radius.
• Inspect first-off samples, verify bend angles/tolerances against drawings, and resolve bending defects.
• Minimize setup/changeover time and prevent surface damage during forming.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication supervising CNC Laser Cutting and CNC Press Brakes.
• Machine Expertise: Hands-on experience with Trumpf machines is strongly preferred (Bystronic, Amada, LVD, Salvagnini also relevant).
• Programming & Software: Proficiency in CAD/CAM and nesting/offline programming software (e.g., TruTops, SigmaNEST, RADAN, BySoft).
• Drawing Interpretation: Strong capability in reading complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and weldment specifications.
• ERP: Exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems for production booking and material tracking
