Job Description – PPC Engineer/ Asst. Manager (ProductionPlanning & Control)
Position: PPCEngineer (Production Planning & Control)
Industry: Heavy Fabrication / Structural Steel/ Bridge Fabrication / Pre-Engineered Buildings (PEB)
Experience: 5–8 Years
JobPurpose: To plan, coordinate, monitor, andcontrol manufacturing activities to ensure timely execution of fabricationprojects, optimum utilization of resources, and adherence to deliveryschedules, quality standards, and productivity targets.
KeyResponsibilities
ProductionPlanning
- Prepare detailed productionplans based on project schedules, customer requirements, and availablecapacities.
- Develop weekly and monthlyproduction schedules for fabrication, welding, machining, painting, anddispatch activities.
- Coordinate with Design,Procurement, Quality, and Production departments for smooth workflowexecution.
- Monitor progress againstproduction plans and take corrective actions to eliminate delays.
MaterialPlanning & Control
- Review BOMs, drawings, andmaterial requirements for projects.
- Coordinate with Procurement andStores to ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, andbought-out items.
- Monitor material shortages andprepare material requirement reports.
- Track material consumption andminimize wastage.
ProductionMonitoring
- Track daily productionachievements against planned targets.
- Prepare and analyze productionMIS reports, productivity reports, and variance analysis.
- Identify bottlenecks in fabricationprocesses and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure optimal utilization ofmanpower, machines, and fabrication facilities.
Coordination& Scheduling
- Liaise with Project Managementteams to align production schedules with project milestones.
- Coordinate with QualityAssurance for stage inspections and release of fabricated components.
- Work closely with Dispatch andLogistics teams to ensure timely shipment of finished products.
Requirements
RequiredQualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma inMechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related discipline.
- Certification in ProductionPlanning, Supply Chain Management, or ERP systems will be an addedadvantage.
RequiredExperience
- 5–8 years of relevantexperience in Heavy Fabrication, Structural Steel Fabrication, BridgeFabrication, PEB, Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, or similarindustries.
- Experience in handlingfabrication planning, scheduling, and resource management for large-scaleprojects.
- Attention to detail
