Job summary

JobItUs seeks an experienced PPC Assistant Manager to lead production planning, scheduling, material availability, and inventory control across departments. You will ensure smooth, timely production and adherence to delivery schedules while optimizing workflows.

The role requires 7–9 years in PPC/Production Planning within manufacturing, with strong ERP/MRP and MS Excel MIS reporting capabilities. Automotive/engineering experience is preferred; diploma/BE/BTech in related fields is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 7–9 years of PPC/Production Planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in automotive/engineering/manufacturing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production plans as per customer requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth production flow.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with Purchase/Stores for timely procurement.
• Track production progress against planned schedules and take corrective actions for delays.
• Maintain optimum inventory levels and monitor WIP, raw material and finished goods.
• Prepare and maintain PPC reports, MIS and production performance reports.
• Monitor production capacity, machine utilization and manpower requirements.
• Identify bottlenecks in production and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
• Ensure adherence to delivery schedules and prioritize urgent customer requirements.
• Maintain and update production planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
• Analyze production data and provide regular reports to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce downtime and optimize inventory.
• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to company processes and quality requirements.

• Ability to handle production schedules and work under pressure.

Education

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Preferred Candidate

• 7–9 years of relevant experience in PPC / Production Planning in a manufacturing environment.


• Candidates with experience in automotive/engineering/manufacturing industries will be preferred.
