The role focuses on identifying high-potential products, developing long-term portfolio strategies, and coordinating with Marketing, R&D and top management to align priorities with growth objectives. 4–12+ years of experience in regulated markets is preferred.

Qualifications

• 4-12+ years of experience in pharma strategy, business development, marketing or portfolio planning.
• Experience with regulated markets (US/EU/Japan) preferred.
• Background in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify high-potential, niche, and sustainable products across geographies.
• Develop long-term and medium-term portfolio strategies aligned with growth objectives.
• Identify niche, high-value products going off-patent or with strong growth.
• Track patent expiry, DMF filings, and supplier concentration globally.
• Conduct geography-wise consumption analysis with growth projections.
• Coordinate with Marketing, R&D and Top Management to align priorities.
• Drive the structured product selection workflow.
• Prepare business cases with market opportunity, investment needs and risk.

We operate two USFDA-approved manufacturing facilities at Shendra and Chikalthana, Aurangabad, along with an USFDA-approved Oral Solid Dosage (OSD) manufacturing facility for contract manufacturing and development services. API R&D facility in Navi Mumbai.

As part of our growth strategy, we are expanding into specialty chemicals at Amravati and developing a new greenfield API manufacturing facility.

Role & responsibilities

• Identifying highpotential, niche, and sustainable products across geographies through structured market intelligence, crossfunctional collaboration, and longterm strategic planning.
• Develop longterm and mediumterm portfolio strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
• Identify niche, highvalue products going offpatent or showing strong consumption growth.
• Track patent expiry landscapes, DMF filings, and supplier concentration globally.
• Identify products with Few global or Indian suppliers, Limited DMF filings & Growing demand but constrained supply
• Conduct geographywise consumption analysis with growth projections.
• Focus on select geographies for targeted portfolio expansion.
• Work closely with:
• Marketing to validate market size, pricing, competition, and customer needs
• R&D to assess technical feasibility, timelines, and development risks
• Top Management to align portfolio priorities with business strategy
• Drive the structured product selection workflow
• Prepare business cases including market opportunity, investment requirements, and risk assessment.
• Support final product selection and ensure clarity on development milestones and commercialization plans.
• Periodically review portfolio performance and recommend course corrections as needed.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, APIs, specialty products, and niche therapeutic segments
• Expertise in portfolio management, patent analysis, DMF landscape assessment, and demandsupply dynamics

Experience & Qualification

• 4-12+ years of experience in pharma strategy, business development, marketing, or portfolio planning
• Proven exposure to regulated markets (US/EU/Japan preferred)
• Background in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences, MBA preferred
