Job summary

Thompsons Hr Consulting seeks an experienced PMO Engineer/Manager to support governance through schedule management, open item tracking, contract administration, and claims monitoring for PMC – Power Generation / Renewable Energy Projects.

You will develop and maintain integrated project schedules, track progress, and coordinate actions with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely closure and reporting of risks and commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and maintain integrated project schedules in coordination with all project stakeholders.
• Track project progress against approved baselines and key milestones.
• Identify schedule deviations and support development of recovery and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate schedule updates and progress reporting activities.
• Establish and maintain project action trackers and decision logs.
• Track outstanding actions, technical queries, approvals, and commitments.
• Follow up with project teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for timely closure of open items.
• Provide regular status reports highlighting critical overdue actions and risks.
• Maintain contract registers and monitor key contractual obligations and deliverables.
• Track variation orders, change requests, claims, and potential contractual risks.
• Coordinate with commercial, contracts, and project teams to monitor claim status and required actions.
• Support preparation of contract and claims reports for management review.
• Monitor contract correspondence and ensure timely response to contractual matters.
• Prepare project dashboards, KPI reports, and management presentations.
• Support project reviews, progress meetings, and governance forums.
• Maintain project documentation, registers, and records.
• Ensure accurate reporting of project status, risks, actions, contracts, and claims.

Job Purpose

The PMO Engineer is responsible for supporting project governance through schedule management, tracking of open actions, contract administration, and claims monitoring. The role ensures that project commitments, contractual obligations, and key deliverables are effectively tracked and reported to support successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, monitor, and maintain integrated project schedules in coordination with all project stakeholders.

Qualifications

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in PMO, Project Controls, Planning, Contracts, or Project Management.
• Experience in PMC, EPC, Power Generation, Renewable Energy, or Infrastructure projects preferred.
