Designation: PMO Manager / Project Management Office Lead
Reporting To: Project Director / Head - Projects / Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Job Summary
The PMO is responsible for establishing project governance, monitoring project performance, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring effective planning, execution, reporting, and control of solar EPC projects. The role supports project leadership by tracking schedules, costs, risks, documentation, and overall project delivery milestones
.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Monitoring
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, schedules, and milestone tracking.
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Quality, Safety, and Commissioning teams.
- Track project activities and identify delays, risks, and critical issues.
- Support project managers in achieving project completion targets.
Project Controls & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain project dashboards, MIS reports, and performance trackers.
- Monitor project KPIs related to schedule, cost, quality, and productivity.
- Track project risks, opportunities, and mitigation plans.
- Support management review meetings with accurate project updates.
Coordination & Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation of project records, approvals, drawings, reports, and correspondence.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for timely closure of project actions.
- Maintain project change management records and approval status.
- Support audit requirements and project compliance documentation.
- Monitor progress of engineering deliverables, material procurement, site execution, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Track key solar project milestones such as:
- Land readiness
- Engineering approvals
- Material delivery
- Civil works completion
- Module installation
- Electrical installation
- Testing & commissioning
- Grid synchronization
- Coordinate with site teams to resolve project execution challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Project Management / Business Administration.
- PMP, Primavera, or project management certification preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in project controls, PMO, or EPC project management, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Solar EPC project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Understanding of project planning, scheduling, and risk management.
- Knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
