Job summary

Tata AutoComp Systems Limited is seeking a skilled automation engineer to develop, program and test PLC systems for industrial projects in Pune. The candidate will design control logic across multiple PLC platforms, configure HMI/SCADA apps, and provide on-site commissioning and support.

The role involves diagnosing electrical and networking issues, integrating PLCs with drives, sensors, robots, and vision systems, and generating comprehensive technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and testing PLC systems.
• Ability to design control logic for diverse PLC platforms.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA configuration and development.
• Strong documentation skills for IO lists and specs.
• Site commissioning and field support experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems for industrial automation projects.
• Design and implement control logic using PLC platforms such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Schneider, or Omron.
• Configure and develop HMI and SCADA applications.
• Perform commissioning, startup, and site support for automation systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLC programs, electrical control systems, and communication networks.
• Integrate PLCs with drives, sensors, robots, vision systems, and other industrial equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, including program backups, IO lists, functional specifications, and operation manuals.
• Support production teams in improving machine performance, uptime, and process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company automation guidelines.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical Design, Maintenance, Production, and Quality departments.
