Job summary

Madox Technologies is seeking an automation engineer to execute PLC programming, HMI development, and Safety PLC configurations for customer projects, working mainly with Omron and Mitsubishi systems.

You will support installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites, coordinate with mechanical and robotics teams, and maintain documentation while ensuring safety and project timelines are met.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in PLC programming and Safety PLC configuration.
• Experience designing and developing HMI screens.
• Familiarity with Balluff devices and servo drives.
• Ability to coordinate with project teams and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs and Safety PLC configurations from customer specifications.
• Design and develop HMI screens with correct visualization and alarms.
• Verify communication links between Station PLC, Robot PLC and PIM.
• Configure field devices including Balluff systems and servo drives.
• Participate in system integration, testing and commissioning at sites.
• Assist in wiring validation, I/O checks and machine start-up.
• Coordinate with mechanical, robotics, and project teams for integration.
• Prepare technical reports and project records.
• Ensure timelines, safety standards and procedures are followed.

Job description

Job purpose

To execute PLC programming, HMI screen development, Safety PLC configuration, and industrial automation commissioning activities for customer projects, working primarily with Omron and Mitsubishi PLC systems, in accordance with project specifications and customer requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs and Safety PLC configurations based on specifications and details provided by the customer.
• Design and develop HMI screens as per Customer requirements, ensuring correct visualization, alarming, and operator interface functionality.
• Establish and verify communication links between Station PLC and Robot PLC, Station PLC and PIM (Process Interface Module).
• Carry out special device configuration for field devices including Balluff systems, Mitsubishi servo drives, and other peripheral equipment.
• Participate in control panel integration, system testing, and debugging during internal trials and customer-site commissioning.
• Assist in electrical wiring validation, I/O checks, and machine start-up activities at internal and customer sites.
• Coordinate with mechanical, robotics, and project teams during project execution to ensure smooth integration of automation scope.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and project records as required.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines, safety standards, and company procedures throughout all project phases.
