Job summary

ZF Mahindra World City in Chennai seeks a Procurement Senior Engineer (Electrical) with 4+ years of experience to manage maintenance and equipment improvements at Mahindra World City facility. The role requires hands-on PLC and LabVIEW skills for machine control and process improvements.

Responsibilities include corrective maintenance, programming PLC and HMI, troubleshooting CNC Fanuc machines, and contributing to energy savings and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Diploma/BE/ME in a technical field is required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in maintenance/procurement.
• Hands-on experience with PLC, LabVIEW and HMI is essential.

Responsibilities

• Day to day activities of corrective maintenance (B/D Maintenance).
• B/D should be given immediate focus.
• Plan major modifications on Sundays.
• Improvements for quality, productivity, safety and energy saving.
• LabVIEW code development and modification with existing machine.
• PLC & HMI program development and modification with existing machine.
• CNC (Fanuc controllers) based machines troubleshooting and maintenance.
• PLC & LabVIEW based machines and test rigs troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic pneumatic and hydraulic based machines.

Your Task:

• Day to day activities of corrective maintenance (B/D Maintenance)
• B/D should be given immediate focus
• Any major modification to be planned in Sunday
• Improvements activities for , quality , productivity , safety , energy saving , MTTR/MTBF
• LabVIEW code development and modification with existing machine
• PLC & HMI program development and modification with existing machine
• CNC (Fanuc controllers) based machines troubleshooting and maintenance and
• PLC & LabView based machines and test rigs troubleshooting and maintenance
• Knowledge on basic pneumatic based machine and assembly facility
• Knowledge on basic hydraulic based machine

Your Profile:

• Correction of long pending problem in the production
• B/D time & MTTR should be recorded in SAP system
• In case no B/D allot workmen to removal abnormalities (Support to JH)
• Spare part planning of the machine
• ISO/ IATF 16949 , audit documents prepare and maintain
• Calibration of instruments. Energy consumption activities
• To plan for R&M cost reduction
• Responsibilities for PM, TBM, CBM as per the schedule
• Machine shifting and layout change. Erection of New Equipments
• Weekly improvement meeting. Willing to work in all three shifts / Sundays
