Job summary

ZF Group in India seeks a Senior Manager - Supply Chain to lead strategic sourcing, cost reduction, and supplier collaboration for automotive components. Based in Chennai, you will guide localization and VAVE projects, optimize procurement costs, and drive value across multiple commodity streams.

You will partner with sales and marketing teams, manage capacity with key suppliers, and develop cost projections for stamping, forging, casting, plastics, rubber, and standard parts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Value Management.
• 10–15 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and good analytical/problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools; strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement Sourcing & Purchasing VAVE/CRP projects to attain YoY target savings of 3% from yearly spend value.
• Create future projects pipeline by handling Localization, Re-sourcing, VAVE-CRP, Nego, SOB change projects from High to Low cost suppliers.
• SWAT case creation and approval for new business, source change, second source introduction and process changes.
• Ensure QCD with all suppliers to support sales & marketing teams.
• Handle all commercial workings, approvals, and PO amendments for parts and tooling.
• Manage capacity with key suppliers, machine hour rate and process cost calculations for price negotiations.
• Develop cost estimates & projections for commodities like Stamping, Forging, Casting, Sintering, Plastic injection/compression molding, Rubber parts, Springs, Motors, Fabrication & Standard parts.

• Handling all commercial workings, increase and decrease approvals, Part & Tooling PO amendment.
• Capacity management with key suppliers, Machine hour rate and process cost calculation for price negotiation with suppliers.
• Developing cost estimates & projections for commodities like Stamping, Forging, Casting (PDC/GDC/Ferrous), Sintering, Plastic Injection/Compression molding, Rubber parts, Springs, Motors, Fabrication & Standard parts.

Your Profile as Senior Manager - Supply chain (m/f/d):

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Value Management
• 10 to 15 years Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.Strong communication and coordination skills
