Job summary

Luthra Group Company in Surat, India, is seeking an ETP Operator to operate and monitor water treatment systems per SOPs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3–8 years of hands-on ETP experience, ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Electrical/ Environmental Eng, and the ability to maintain operational records and follow SOPs. Rotational shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in ETP operations and water treatment plant operations.
• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering.
• Knowledge of ETP processes, pumps, filters, softeners, chemical dosing and water quality testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ETP and water treatment systems per SOPs.
• Conduct routine water quality testing (pH, TDS, hardness, chlorine).
• Monitor plant parameters: pressure, flow, water consumption, chemical dosing.
• Perform filter backwashing, CIP, and maintenance of dosing pumps.
• Maintain daily records, logbooks, and water quality reports.
• Identify abnormalities and report equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Operate and monitor ETP and associated water treatment systems as per established SOPs.
• Conduct routine water quality testing, including pH, TDS, hardness and free residual chlorine.
• Monitor plant parameters such as pressure, flow rate, water consumption and chemical dosing.
• Perform routine filter backwashing, membrane cleaning (CIP) and preventive maintenance of dosing pumps.
• Maintain daily operational records, logbooks, chemical consumption and water quality reports.
• Handle, prepare and dose water treatment chemicals safely.
• Identify operational abnormalities and report equipment breakdowns to the concerned team.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and operational standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: 3 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in ETP operations and water treatment plant operations.
• Practical knowledge of ETP processes, pumps, filters, softeners, chemical dosing and water quality testing.
• Ability to maintain operational records and follow standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
