Job summary

SIG is seeking a Plant Manager in Maharashtra, India to oversee all production activities at the factory. You will lead technical staff, manage operations, and drive continuous improvement to meet safety, quality, and cost targets.

The role requires 15+ years in injection molding with high cavitation/high-speed lines, and a focus on efficiency, capacity planning, and regulatory compliance. Office-Factory work mode; Fridays off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Engineering/Technology in any field.
• CIPET Plastic/ Polymer qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years in an Injection molding environment with hot runner mold and high cavitation.
• Work from Office-Factory only; not hybrid; Friday off.
• Knowledge in High Speed Assembly line is advantageous.
• Experience in manufacturing Fitments for flexible packaging is preferred.

• Oversees processes across injection molding, high-speed assembly, and utilities.
• Ensures adherence to certification standards like FSSC, BRC-GS, QMS, EHS, OHSAS.
• Develops and implements the plant's strategic objectives including capacity planning and continuous improvement.
• Leads all plant functions, budgets, and cost control while driving productivity and OEE.

Job description

• Directs all aspects of production activity at the assigned plant to ensure that the desired quantities and quality of products are manufactured on schedule in a safe manner at minimum cost.
• Manages technical employees and line managers of operations team.
• Has accountability for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function.
• Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
• Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receive guidance from senior management.
• Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers
• Defines team operating standards and ensures essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline
• Combination of knowledge in Injection molding machines, high-speed Assembly line and utilities.
• Ensure adherence of certification standards like FSSC, BRC-GS, QMS, EHS, OHSAS.
• Developing and implementing the plant's strategic objectives in alignment with the overall company goals. This includes capacity planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Should be responsible for the profitable plant.
• Maintaining Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and driving productivity enhancement.
• Leads all functions within the plants.
• Budgeting and controlling overall cost.
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement through methodologies like SES, Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• To ensure plant are working on waste reduction, recycling coordination, achievement of sustainability and regulatory requirements as per regulatory authority and rules.

You Bring These Skills, Experience & Education

• Bachelors Engineering /Technology any field.
• CIPET Plastic/ Polymer.
• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Injection molding company having hot runner mold with high cavitation and minimum cycle time.
• Work from Office-Factory only- Not Hybrid- Friday Weekly Off
• Knowledge in High Speed Assembly line will be preferred.
• Manufacturing of Fitments (Injection molding articles) for flexible packaging industry will be preferred.
