Job summary

Bharat Seats (BSL) in India is seeking an HR Head (Manager/Sr. Manager) to lead employee relations, welfare facilities, and payroll at the Harohalli manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities include statutory compliance, end-to-end recruitment for hourly and salaried staff, performance management, training, and policy implementation with the HSE team to ensure safety. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in automobile HR, unionized or industrial environments, strong labor-law knowledge, and proficiency

Qualifications

• 15+ years HR experience in automobile manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR/BA or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and industrial relations.

Responsibilities

• Handle employee relations and welfare, act as main contact for grievances and welfare facilities.
• Ensure statutory compliance with labor and factory laws and maintain audit-ready docs.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding for hourly and salaried staff.
• Drive performance management and training programs.
• Implement HR policies and coordinate with HSE for safety protocols.
• Administer salary structures, bonuses, and payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Employee Relations & Welfare: Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, fostering a positive workplace culture, and overseeing welfare facilities (canteen, transport, uniforms).
• Statutory Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with labor and factory laws, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and liaising with local government authorities.
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end hiring process for hourly and salaried employees, including sourcing, selection, and orientation.
• Performance & Training: Drive performance management systems and conduct training, development, and skill enhancement programs.
• Policy Implementation & Safety: Implement HR policies, SOPs, and collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) team to ensure workplace safety protocols.
• Compensation & Payroll: Administer salary structures, bonuses, and benefits, ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in HR, Business Administration, or related fields (e.g., MSW/PM&IR).
• Experience: 15+ years of HR experience, preferably in a Automobile manufacturing, unionized, or industrial environment.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of labor laws, excellent conflict resolution, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in HR software .
• Capabilities: Ability to work on the shop floor, handle high-pressure situations, and manage industrial relations
