Job summary

Amor Management Consultants is seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to lead the entire HR function within a manufacturing setting. You will drive culture, capability development, and workforce effectiveness, coordinating with senior leaders and HQ to align people strategies with business priorities.

The role requires 15–20 years in HR, including 7–8 years in a leadership position within a large organization.

Qualifications

• MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent required.
• 15–20 years of overall HR experience required.
• 7–8 years leading HR in a reputed MNC/large manufacturing org.
• Strong exposure to Plant HR, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Compliance and Union Relations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and strategic HR capabilities.

Job Purpose

Lead the overall Human Resources function and drive the development of a strong, performance-oriented organizational culture. Oversee HR operations across all sub-functions, including Plant HR, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, Administration, Learning & Development, Employee Relations and Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organizations overall business objectives.
• Lead and oversee the complete HR function, providing direction to HR managers and functional specialists.
• Partner with senior management to drive organizational growth, culture building and workforce effectiveness.
• Build employee capabilities through talent development, engagement and capability-building initiatives.
• Manage employee relations, grievances and workplace concerns while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
• Develop and implement talent acquisition, succession planning, retention and career development strategies.
• Drive employee engagement, motivation and retention of high-performing talent.
• Establish and monitor HR policies, systems, processes and procedures across the organization.
• Lead performance management and appraisal systems to improve employee productivity and business performance.
• Oversee compensation, benefits and pay structures in line with organizational requirements and market practices.
• Identify organizational training needs and oversee the design and implementation of training and development programs.
• Prepare and present HR dashboards, MIS and analytical reports to senior management, providing actionable insights for decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements and company HR policies.
• Maintain effective employee and union relations to ensure smooth business operations.
• Prepare, manage and analyze the HR budget and ensure effective utilization of resources.
• Work closely with internal departments, business leaders and HQ to align people strategies with business priorities.

Candidate Profile

• Industry: Candidates with strong experience in Manufacturing / Engineering / Automotive / Industrial sectors will be preferred.
• Experience working in a plant / manufacturing environment with exposure to workforce management, employee relations and labour/union matters is highly desirable.
• Should have experience managing multiple HR sub-functions and leading HR teams in a manufacturing organization.

Education & Experience

• Qualification: MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent.
• Experience: 15-20 years of overall HR experience, predominantly in a Generalist HR profile.
• Minimum 7-8 years of experience leading the overall HR function in a reputed MNC / large manufacturing organization.
• Strong exposure to Plant HR, Employee Relations, Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, Compliance and Union Relations.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication and strategic HR capabilities.
