Job summary

Kamaths Ourtimes Ice Cream in Thane is seeking an experienced HR professional to implement plant-wide HR initiatives, policies, and SOPs aligned with business goals. The role focuses on talent acquisition, retention, learning and development, culture, and employee engagement.

You will manage end-to-end recruitment for plant roles, ensure compliance with labour laws, handle grievances, oversee contract labour, monitor performance, and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing plant is essential.
• Deep understanding of labour laws and contract labour regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Proactive in managing blue-collar workforce challenges.

Responsibilities

• Implement HR initiatives, SOPs and policies in line with organizational objectives.
• Design & execute HR strategy across plant with focus on talent acquisition, retention, learning and development, culture & values and employee engagement.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant-level roles and oversee onboarding, induction and training programs for plant employees.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws and statutory regulations (Factories Act, ESI, PF, etc.) and liaise with government/local authorities for audits and smooth plant functioning.
• Handle grievance redressal, conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures fostering a healthy work culture.
• Oversee contract labour management and ensure compliance with the Contract Labour Act.
• Monitor contractor performance and adherence to statutory obligations like wages, ESI, PF and safety norms.
• Coordinate with contractors for workforce planning and manage contract labour headcount as per plant requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee records, attendance and leave management.
