Job summary

Headsup Corporation in Hyderabad seeks a Plant Head to lead end-to-end operations in plastic pipe manufacturing. You will direct production, maintenance, quality, inventory, and supply chain functions, driving planning, productivity, and cost control with a strong focus on extrusion processes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in pipe manufacturing, hands-on extrusion experience, and a track record of Lean, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to optimise OEE and overall performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in plastic pipe manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with HDPE, MDPE, PVC or CPVC pipe manufacturing.
• Strong exposure to pipe extrusion processes.
• Experience managing complete plant operations and productivity.
• Knowledge of production planning, maintenance, quality, inventory and cost control.
• Familiarity with extrusion machine brands and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations for smooth manufacturing and timely production.
• Manage Production, PPC, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, Dispatch and Inventory.
• Drive production planning to meet daily, monthly and annual targets.
• Improve productivity, machine utilization (OEE) and efficiency.
• Monitor raw material usage, wastage and drive cost reductions.
• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
• Lead and develop production teams and shop-floor staff.
• Implement Lean, 5S, Kaizen, CAPA and CI initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase, QA, Stores and Dispatch for smooth operations.
• Monitor KPIs related to productivity, rejects, downtime and inventory.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall plant operations, ensuring smooth manufacturing and timely production.
• Manage Production, PPC, Maintenance, Quality, Stores, Dispatch, and Inventory functions.
• Drive production planning to achieve daily, monthly, and annual targets.
• Improve plant productivity, machine utilization (OEE), and operational efficiency.
• Monitor raw material consumption, wastage, and implement cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
• Lead and develop production teams, supervisors, and shop-floor workforce.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase, QA, Stores, and Dispatch to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Monitor KPIs related to productivity, rejection, downtime, and inventory.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in Plastic Pipe Manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience in HDPE, MDPE, PVC, or CPVC Pipe Manufacturing.
• Strong exposure to Pipe Extrusion processes.
• Experience in managing complete plant operations.
• Knowledge of Production Planning, Maintenance, Quality, Inventory, and Cost Control.
• Experience with extrusion machine manufacturers such as Kabra, Jwell, Windsor, Theysohn, Beier, Grace, or similar is preferred.
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, OEE, and process improvement.
