Role Description

The Plant Head is responsible for overseeing end-to-end plant operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in alignment with company goals. This full-time, on-site role is based in Jamshedpur and involves managing daily production schedules, coordinating heat treatment, machining, grinding, and inspection activities, and optimizing resource utilization. The Plant Head will lead and mentor plant teams, enforce quality and safety standards, monitor performance metrics, and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed. The role includes collaborating with senior leadership on strategic planning, managing budgets and cost controls, and driving process improvements and operational excellence across the plant.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Plant Operations and Production Management, with experience leading manufacturing teams and overseeing end-to-end processes.
• Proficiency in Production Planning, including capacity planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization for multi-step operations.
• Solid background in Quality Control, with knowledge of ISO standards, inspection processes, and continuous quality improvement methods.
• Experience with Budgeting and cost control, including managing plant-level expenses and implementing productivity and efficiency initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, resolve operational issues, and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with earthmoving equipment components, heat treatment, machining, and grinding processes is highly beneficial.
