Job summary

atsMantra is hiring for a leading steel manufacturing client to appoint an experienced Unit Head / Plant Head to lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes.

The ideal candidate should have 15+ years in Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes, with mandatory Seamless and Welded pipe manufacturing experience, and strong leadership to drive productivity, quality, safety, and profitability.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in the Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes industry.
• Mandatory experience in both Seamless and Welded pipe manufacturing.
• Strong exposure to manufacturing using Stainless Steel and/or Carbon Steel as raw materials.
• Proven experience leading an entire manufacturing unit or large-scale production facility.
• Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain, and EHS.
• Drive manufacturing excellence for Seamless and Welded Stainless Steel Pipes & Tubes.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and production capacity.
• Manage production planning and delivery schedules to meet customer commitments.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, customer specifications, and industry regulations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce manufacturing costs, and minimize wastage.
• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment availability.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, environmental, and safety requirements.
• Manage plant budgets, operational costs, inventory, and overall profitability.
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional teams.
