Job summary

Prominent Consultant seeks a skilled Production Planning & Operations lead to translate demand into executable production plans for automotive/heavy manufacturing. You will drive end-to-end plant reviews, optimize OTIF/OTD performance and coordinate with PPC, Stores, Production, Quality and Dispatch to meet internal and customer commitments.

Your role focuses on bottleneck identification, WIP/inventory control and driving productivity, capacity utilization and overall operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Strong machining process expertise required.
• Experience in plant operations management in automotive/heavy manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of production planning & execution.
• Cost control and budget management experience.
• Knowledge of OEE, productivity and capacity utilization.
• Knowledge of quality systems and process discipline.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing / TPM / Six Sigma.
• ERP/SAP-driven planning and plant reviews.
• Vendor & purchase coordination for RM, dies, consumables & spares.
• Exposure to automotive customer discipline, traceability & response systems.

• Drive daily, weekly and monthly production reviews to ensure committed volumes are delivered.
• Own plant contribution towards OTIF / OTD performance.

• Identify potential bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions before delivery risks arise.
