Job summary

Conserve Solutions is seeking a Piping Stress Engineer with 5+ years hands-on experience to manage piping stress analysis tasks in line with ASME B31.3 and related codes. You will operate Caesar II and contribute to nozzles, loads, and supports in complex piping systems.

The role involves preparing stress specifications, interacting with civil and structural teams, and ensuring project schedules. AutoPIPE experience is preferred, and prior work with piping layouts, trunnions, and fatigue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with hands-on piping stress experience.
• Knowledge and experience with ASME/ API/ NEMA/ TEMA/ ASTM, IS codes and standards.
• Experience using Caesar II (Mandatory) and preferably AutoPIPE software.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of piping stress analysis tasks and project schedules.
• Prepare stress critical line lists and piping stress specifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION OF PIPING STRESS ENGINEER

Experience: 4+ years

Degree: Diploma/B. E Mechanical

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the quality and respect of project schedule for assigned piping stress analysis tasks
• Preparation of stress critical line list of assigned projects
• Performs stress calculations of all kinds of piping networks including critical ones
• Issues piping loads to civil and structural discipline for design of pipe-rack/ technological structures and foundations
• Responsible for the design of all piping supports components
• Review of Client s technical documentation and requirements
• Preparation of project piping stress specification and critical lines list
• Prepare technical part of requisitions for all piping supports components required by stress analysis
• Do technical bid evaluation for all piping supports components offers
• Checking of sub-contracted stress and support engineering documents
• Checking of isometrics being issued for construction for stress and support point of view
• Performs stress and support engineering related activities for assigned project and activity
• Reviews the stress and support related work of others whenever required
• Technical and operative interface activities with other departments for stress and support related activities
• Provides resolution of technical issues related to stress and support engineering
• Prioritization and planning of engineering activities and deliverables
• Conduct pipe stress engineering of piping systems as per ASME, ANSI B31.3, B31.1 code needs using Caesar II software program.
• Perform evaluation of nozzle loads or vessels stress utilizing WRC 107/297 capability of Caesar II program.
• Conversant with requirements like trunnion calculation, flange leakage calculations, qualification of allowable nozzle loads etc.
• Locate support points in the 3D model of the piping system
• Support selection to ensure proper working of the piping system
• Optimizing piping layout by integrating the functions of piping design, stress analysis and support design
• Estimate preliminary loads to release early the civil & steel structures detail design.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in Piping Stress analysis experience
• Knowledge and experience with various ASME/ API/ NEMA/ TEMA/ ASTM, IS codes and standards as well as various PMC standards.
• Experience using Caesar II (Mandatory) and preferably Auto PIPE software.
