Educational Qualification: B.Tech / M.Tech
Responsibilities
Piping Stress Engineer should have technical expertise on Static and Dynamic analysis of piping systems using software like Rhor2 CAESAR II etc.
Verification of piping layout, supports, and ensure sufficient flexibility of the piping system.
Should have good knowledge on ASME B31.1 and B31.3 Codes and relevant standards, ASME BPVC Section III and API Standards.
Should have work experience in solving stress calculations with water hammer, slug, relief valve reaction force, wind, earthquake, snow, ice loads and settlement conditions.
Should have knowledge on hangers and expansion joints.
Should have knowledge on pipe support selection & Special support design sketches.
Hands on experience on Flange leakage and trunnion check is mandatory.
Perform evaluation of nozzle loads or vessels stress utilizing WRC 107/297.
Should be capable of preparing detailed stress reports or design reports.
Should be capable of reviewing & comments Isometric, Equipment drawings, Piping layout and 3D drawings with respect to stress requirements
